Fluttering Hearts

I feel like such a real blogger, I have finally completed a “meme” or challenge. This weeks challenge from Strawberry Singh was to Blog a picture with our favorite, or variety of favorite colors. Now that is something I can totally appricate, as it gives me an excuse to wear as many bright colors as I possibly can. I pulled Havyen along with me because the suits available at the current Mens Dept are to eye popping to pass up. I even made sure and got a full frontal shot just so you could enjoy the nice Pink shirt. I really love all colors, in this photo I made sure and included three of my favorite, Pink, Purple, and Aqua. Now the suit claims to be Cyan but…I have a hard time with my blues so it is close enough for me.

My first blog challenge was hoping to be one of those “perfect” pictures but alas, was not meant to be. After multiple sims that I could not rezz a pose at and then multiple poses that hated my dress, I finally just picked my favorite and decided to pretend my dress has pockets. Whats the fun if you do not have any imagination?

Snuggle Time

Are these not the cutest little snuggle buddies ever? I fell in love at first screenshot. I think they are my new Second Life love…seriously, I think Moose just became my new favorite animal.

I also hit up Collabor88 before it ends this month….you know cause I have not spent enough L’s from my piggy bank this past month. I love hair that comes with accessories that fit it, so this adorable TRUTH HAIR was a must grab. And what better color for spring and summer than a nice bright yellow. The dresses from ::{u.f.o}:: were so cute and with so many options…I really could not help myself.

Rain, Rain Go Away

Spring is one of my favorite seasons, mostly because I prefer mild temperatures to extreme hot or cold. But I also enjoy the flowers and sunshine and yes, even the rain. What better way to celebrate Spring then a walk in the rain, unfortunately my umbrella wanted to fly away.

The Umbrella and pose to use with it are currently available at the Pose Fair (which is FULL of awesome stuff). I apparently have a pose addiction now as well as my hair and shoe addiction, I would get help but it is just too much fun.

Princess In Training

There is nothing like an unique item to get you all excited about an idea. Alouette’s “The Princess’s Tower” made me extremely excited to take a princess picture. The outside view of the caslte is contained in the “painting” on the large easel. To help out with ideas for a princess photo I hit the Fit for a Princess event, which has even more cool stuff. I was to excited about the tower to pick up to much, but i did manage to grab a few items before I had to rush home to test out my new tower.

It’s Magic

I just want to sing “Oh, ho, ho It’s magic, you know” every time I look at the sparkly fairy princess wand in this picture. I entered a photo contest a few weeks back and fell in love with the sim, it just has so many cute places to explore. Check it out at “It all starts with a smile”. So when I started creating a picture around the fairy princess wand, the first place I thought of was this sim. I feel like it makes pictures more fun to have awesome backgrounds rather than just plain walls…although plain walls are easier to control. I was going for Fairy in this picture but have been informed I look more like Princess Ariel…I will take either as a compliment.

The Power of Titles

 

I find it amazing the difference a few words and some black and white filtering can do. When I started taking the pictures in today’s post I started with an idea that was a bit sad, but then it was so bright and cheerful at the sim I could not help but feel happy and cheerful. So I did two versions, yes this is the same indecision that results in my excessive inventory. The above photo is entitled “Let me be your Anchor” while the lower is “Who am I to hold you Down”. I love how pictures can tell stories and I really love how the story can change with just a few simple words.

Wearing My Heart on My Hand

Shopping is really too much fun…it also gets me into trouble. But I really do need new accessories for my clothes, and then new clothes for the accessories, and maybe a new pair of shoes.

I poofed into a few events this week that I had never before attended and was once again amazed by all the sheer gorgeous things out there. Count Me In

I had never before attended Skin Fair but decided that today would be my first visit. It was my lucky day actually, Eye Candi had a skin for 1L.(I may have done a happy dance) Since I like variety I also picked up the makeup options for the skin (Kat), packs of 20 shades of lipstick and eye shadow where 260L apiece. Even with the makeup packs I still managed to spend much less on this skin then most of my others. I also had to purchase SLink appliers (I buy no skin if I can not wear my SLink hands and feet), but the Slink appliers from Eye Candi include each shade of skin the shop makes, so I only need to buy it once no matter what shade I buy next. (definitely did a Happy dance).

I also got the new Magika hair, Shine. I just love the messy curls.

Ahoy Mateys!! Swimwear is probably my least favorite type of clothing in second life, it is just so hard to try to find something that has a style you like and fits your avatar how you like. Yesterday I was invited to crash a beach party and therefore had to scour marketplace for a beach look that I could love. I think I managed between the adorable Sailor Cap from BOOM and smexy Lace and Fishnet top from Alyce.I think these are my two newest favorite clothing items. I also think Aqua is my new color, as it really pops.
